Welcome to the Appointment Woods Home Owners Association web site.  Our HOA comprises 77 single family homes and three Common Areas located in south Beaverton, Oregon.  If you own property within the HOA boundaries, you are automatically a member of the HOA.

 

The purpose of the HOA is to preserve and enhance the value of our homes, and to build a supportive neighborhood community.  We do this by adhering to the Covenants, Codes, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) and Architectural Guidelines documents agreed to by each home owner when they purchase property in the HOA.  We also hold periodic neighborhood events to build community and get to know each other.

The HOA is governed by a Board of Directors made up of HOA members elected at the Annual Meeting.  All Board Members are volunteers.  The Board meets once per month to discuss HOA business and make decisions about HOA spending and priorities.  The Board is made up of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and sometimes Members at Large.  Specific roles are chosen by the Board members and can rotate during the year.

The HOA maintains an Architectural Review Committee (ARC) which receives and evaluates home owner proposals for building exterior and landscaping changes – things like roofing material choice, paint color, additions, and major landscaping.  The ARC interprets the Architectural Guidelines to ensure all our houses maintain a consistent, high value, look and feel.  The ARC is comprised of volunteer HOA members.  Most of their consultations are done via email.  HOA members must submit project plans to the ARC for review prior to beginning construction.  The ARC has a lot of experience and can often suggest improvements and alternatives.
