HOA Documents

The HOA is governed by a set of legally binding rules set out in the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) which are agreed to by every home owner at the time they purchase their property.  Every home owner should have received a copy from their realtor or title company when they took possession of their home.

In addition to the CC&Rs, the HOA has a set of Architectural Guidelines, which describe the process for planning and gaining approval for exterior modifications after the homeowner has taken possession.  These guidelines are interpreted by the Architectural Review Committee.

Prior to starting any project that will affect the exterior of your property, submit a written plan to the Architectural Review Committee.  This includes choice of building materials, colors, exterior lighting, and landscape design.  The committee members will review the proposal, see if it meets the requirements of the Architectural Guidelines, and that the changes blend harmoniously with the rest of the houses in the HOA.  The ARC has many members experienced in both construction and artistic trades, and they can often suggest improvements.  After getting approval for the project, schedule the work, and keep the ARC informed of the work schedules.
